American primitive Album
American Primitive is an acoustic collection of originals from blues guitarist and songwriter Layla Musselwhite. The album features lush acoustic sounds and captivating lyrics that mine influences from Muddy Waters, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Bonnie Raitt, and of course her father, blues legend Charlie Musselwhite.
From the opening acoustic masterpiece Winter Wheat featuring New Orleans guitar virtuoso Jimmy Robinson, to the powerful and moody solo instrumental Sunflower River Blues, American Primitive taps into the deep roots of American music.
